The Air India group is operating 22 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to the Gulf on March 27 to ensure passenger connectivity despite the ongoing Israel–US and Iran conflict.

The Air India group has announced that it will operate a total of 22 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from key West Asian destinations on March 27, 2026, as airlines adjust operations amid the ongoing Israel–US and Iran conflict.
In a statement, the airline said the flights will connect major cities in India with destinations such as Jeddah, Riyadh, Muscat and cities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ensuring continued connectivity despite disruptions in the region.
Scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia and Oman
Air India will operate six scheduled flights, including four flights between India and Jeddah with two each from Delhi and Mumbai and two flights between Mumbai and Riyadh.
Meanwhile, Air India Express will operate eight scheduled flights four flights to and from Muscat and two each from Delhi and Mumbai along with four flights to and from Riyadh and two each from Bengaluru and Kozhikode
Additional non-scheduled services to UAE
In addition to regular services, the Air India group will operate eight non-scheduled flights connecting India with the UAE. These flights will link cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi with Delhi and Mumbai.
The airline clarified that these additional flights are subject to slot availability and operational conditions at departure airports, and are being operated with the necessary approvals from Indian and international aviation authorities.
Flexible options
To support passengers affected by disruptions, Air India has introduced flexible travel options. Travellers whose flights have been suspended can either reschedule their journey at no extra cost or opt for a full refund.
Passengers flying with Air India Express from UAE destinations have also been given the option to rebook on alternative flights to any destination in India without additional charges.
The move reflects efforts by airlines to maintain essential connectivity between India and West Asia, a region that sees significant passenger traffic due to business, employment, and family travel.
With ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting flight operations, airlines are adapting schedules and adding capacity where possible to minimise disruption and support passenger movement.
