Thiruvananthapuram: Manaveeyam Veedhi’s affectionate dog 'Rani,' has been missing for a month. For twelve years, Rani was a familiar presence on the street, endearing herself to all who visited. Her disappearance has prompted fans to launch a campaign called 'Ranikkoru Opp,' with over a thousand participants joining the effort to find her. They have even set up a board for this purpose.
A petition has been submitted to the Chief Minister, highlighting that a complaint was filed with the museum police but no investigation has ensued. The dedication to finding Rani underscores the compassion people have for their fellow beings. Rani, known for keeping other stray dogs away from Manaveeyam Veedhi, had only one companion, Charlie, who still awaits her return.
Rani, regarded as the 'Patron' of Manaveeyam Veedhi, was friendly with everyone, leading animal lovers to suspect that anti-social elements might be behind her disappearance. Despite checking CCTV footage from the area, no clues have emerged. The community of Manaveeyam Veedhi remains hopeful for Rani's safe return.
