Could wearing a small hair patch be a reason to murder someone? That is the question Ketan Agrawal's grieving father has raised after reports emerged that the prime accused, Siya Goyal, allegedly told investigators she disliked the businessman because he wore a wig.

Rejecting the reported motive outright, Vishal Agrawal said his son did not hide the fact that he used a small hair patch and that it had already been disclosed to Siya Goyal's family before the marriage proposal progressed.

"If they did not like him because of that, they could have simply rejected the proposal. Is wearing a small hair patch a reason to kill someone?" Vishal Agrawal asked after meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Pune.

According to him, Ketan only wore a small hair patch to cover partial baldness, and both families were aware of it well before discussions over the marriage moved forward.

"We had already informed them that Ketan used a small hair patch. Everything was clear before the proposal," he said.

Vishal Agrawal also appealed to the Maharashtra government to ensure the strictest punishment for those responsible.

"I requested the Chief Minister that the accused should at least receive the death penalty," he said.

According to the bereaved father, Devendra Fadnavis assured him that the investigation would be fast-tracked. He added that authorities informed him a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case.

Vishal Agrawal further claimed that it was Siya Goyal herself who had insisted on going for the trek during which the alleged murder took place.

Investigation points to alleged murder, motive yet to be established

Ketan Agrawal, a director of Success Group, died after falling from Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. While the incident was initially treated as an accidental fall, investigators later registered a murder case after collecting evidence that suggested he may have been deliberately pushed.

Police suspect Siya Goyal, the prime accused, was unwilling to marry Ketan and may have been under pressure from her family regarding the proposed alliance.

However, police have not officially confirmed the motive behind the crime, and the investigation remains underway. The reported claim relating to Ketan's hair patch is also yet to be officially established by investigators.

Fadnavis calls case 'beyond imagination'

Reacting to the case, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis described the alleged murder as "beyond imagination" and said it reflects a disturbing social trend that deserves wider attention.

"As a society, we need to introspect on why educated youth from good families are developing such a vengeful and distorted mindset," Fadnavis said.

He argued that the case should not be viewed solely through the lens of criminal law, but also as a wake-up call for society.

"Society must create a strong system to ensure that such vengeful tendencies and distorted thinking do not develop among young boys and girls," the Chief Minister added.
