Sultan Bathery: An Ayurvedic doctor from Kerala was arrested with a huge quantity of methamphetamine during a routine vehicle inspection at the Muthanga Excise Check Post. Anwar Shah, aged 32, a resident of Karunagappalli in Kollam district, was apprehended while travelling on a KSRTC Swift bus from Mysuru to Ponnani.
Shah informed the excise officials that he is running an Ayurvedic treatment centre abroad. Excise officials reported that a total of 160.77 grams of methamphetamine were seized from Shah.

This haul was found during a thorough inspection carried out by a team comprising Excise Inspectors, Preventive Officers, and Civil Excise Officers.
