A retired Hindu school teacher, his wife and two children were found dead at their home in Bangladesh's Rangpur city. Two men have been detained.

Rangpur: A retired Hindu school teacher, his wife and their two children were allegedly killed at their home in Bangladesh's Rangpur city, according to a report by The Daily Star.
The deceased were identified as 65-year-old Ganapati Chakraborty, his wife Pritilata Chakraborty, 50, their daughter Agami Chakraborty Prarthi, 23, and their 12-year-old son Priyam Chakraborty.
Police have detained two men, identified as Mughdho and Siddhartha, in connection with the killings. The two suspects are cousins.
According to Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, the suspects allegedly entered the rooftop of the family's house through an adjoining building on Thursday night. Police said the men had gone there to take yaba, a synthetic drug.
Ganapati reportedly went to the rooftop after hearing noises and questioned the two men. Police said the suspects then allegedly strangled him with a gamchha, a thin cotton towel he was carrying.
His wife came upstairs after hearing the commotion and was allegedly strangled on the staircase with a piece of cloth, according to the police.
The couple's two children were also killed, police said.
The bodies were recovered from the family's locked residence in the Daspara area of Rangpur city at around 11:30 pm on Friday.
Police said the family had no known disputes or enmity with anyone. The investigation is underway.
