Two people were killed and 13 others injured after a truck rammed into a tractor-trolley in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district on Monday night, police said.

The accident occurred on National Highway 19 near an overbridge in the district.

“There were 15 passengers in the tractor trolley. Two of them died on the spot and two are critical,” an official said.

Following the collision, police and emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where treatment is currently underway.

Police said both the damaged vehicles were later removed from the spot, and traffic movement on the highway has since been restored.
