In Tamil Nadu’s Pudukkottai district, Anthony, a government school teacher, has lived that role for nearly three decades by offering free English-speaking classes to underprivileged students.

He says his mission has always been simple, to equip students with language skills and confidence, without charging a single rupee.

What began as a small service initiative has now transformed the lives of thousands of students from villages across the region.

Many of Anthony’s students have gone on to pursue higher education and secure better career opportunities, crediting his lessons for giving them the confidence to move ahead in life.
