India's vice-captain remained tight-lipped about the specific changes and strategies the women’s team has adopted ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup but expressed confidence in the squad’s preparations. Speaking on Tuesday, Mandhana said the players are in good shape heading into the 12-team tournament and sounded optimistic about India’s chances of putting up a strong performance on the global stage.

The 15-member Indian squad recently completed a training camp at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and is scheduled to leave for England on May 22 for a three-match T20I series against the hosts as part of its World Cup build-up. The Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in England and Wales from June 12, with reigning ODI World Cup champions India set to begin their campaign against arch-rivals on June 14.
