Raipur traffic police have launched a creative road safety awareness drive
As part of the 38th National Road Safety Month, which commenced on January 1, the Raipur traffic police have rolled out a creative public awareness campaign to encourage safer road behaviour.
In a creative road safety campaign, personnel dressed as the popular Bollywood character ‘PK’ — from the 2014 film starring Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Hirani — have been positioned at busy city intersections to spread awareness about traffic rules and safe driving practices. The familiar character has helped attract attention and engage commuters more effectively.
Alongside public announcements through loudspeakers, the ‘PK’ lookalikes are also distributing pamphlets highlighting key traffic norms and safety guidelines. The campaign is one of several activities being undertaken by the traffic police during Road Safety Month to promote responsible driving and pedestrian awareness.
