President Droupadi Murmu reviewed the Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun on Saturday, marking a historic moment for the Indian Army and military training in India. The ceremony featured the 158th Regular Course and the 141st Technical Graduate Course, with 515 Gentleman and Lady Cadets commissioned into service. Among them were nine women cadets, making it a milestone in IMA’s history and reflecting India’s expanding role for women in defence services. Held at the iconic Chetwode Building Drill Square, the event was attended by senior military officials and dignitaries. The graduating batch also included officer cadets from allied foreign nations, highlighting IMA’s international military training reputation.
