New Year rush: Religious centres across India prepare for massive devotee influx
Religious centres across India are witnessing a surge in devotees ahead of the New Year
As the New Year approaches, major pilgrimage centres across India are intensifying preparations to manage the anticipated surge of devotees and ensure a smooth, hassle-free darshan experience.
In Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, the district administration has implemented a series of measures to prevent overcrowding and streamline movement. To maintain order during peak hours, special darshan privileges have been restricted exclusively to VVIPs.
Meanwhile, the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district is already witnessing a heavy influx of pilgrims. Devotees from various parts of the country have begun arriving early to seek the blessings of the Goddess ahead of the New Year.
Pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, noting efficient crowd management and adequate facilities. With lakhs of devotees expected to visit religious centres nationwide, local administrations are on high alert, working round the clock to ensure safety, security, and a spiritually fulfilling start to the New Year for worshippers.
