Students in Madhopur village, Agar Malwa, are forced to study under the open sky

Efforts to ensure quality education in Madhya Pradesh appear starkly at odds with ground realities in Madhopur village of Agar Malwa district, where students are being compelled to attend classes under the open sky due to the dangerous condition of their school building.
The roof of the government school has deteriorated to such an extent that it poses a constant risk of collapse. Concerned parents have strongly objected to their children studying inside the unsafe structure, forcing teachers to shift classes and even examinations outdoors.
Teachers at the school say the building has been in a hazardous state for several years. Despite submitting repeated complaints to authorities, no concrete action was taken for a long time. It was only recently that some funds were sanctioned for repair work, offering a glimmer of hope.
Until repairs are completed, students continue their lessons in the open, exposed to harsh weather conditions and distractions, drastically affecting their learning experience.
Education continues to be a daily struggle for the young students in Madhopur village. Both parents and educators hope that the promised repairs will soon give the kids a respectable and safe learning environment as they persevere through challenging circumstances.
