Feet washing is a practice associated with Maundy Thursday, where priests wash the feet of male members of the laity commemorating Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. Breaking away from tradition, the office-bearers of ICWM chose to wash the feet of 20 elderly female inmates of Snehakoodu. The women, ranging from ages 70-100 were filled with emotion at this expression of love.
