Meet Mohammad Afnan, a Kerala student with exceptional mirror-writing skills, now aiming for the Guinness World Records after earning national recognition.

High school student Mohammad Afnan from Adimali in Kerala’s Idukki district, already recognised for his extraordinary reverse-writing ability, is now aiming for a place in the Guinness World Records.
Afnan can rapidly write words and numbers in reverse, making them legible only when viewed through a mirror, a skill that has earned him wide appreciation.
Mohammad Afnan says, "I took it (reverse writing) seriously during my 6th and 7th standard. And that is when I entered the Indian Book of Records and the Kalam Book of Records. I am also competing for the Guinness Book of Records and I am hopeful that I can achieve it. In addition to this, I am also a state-level participant in Monoact. I also perform Vattappattu (a traditional art form). And even my teachers and my family are very supportive."
It is well known that Leonardo da Vinci concealed his thoughts in his notes by writing in reverse. Centuries later, Mohammad Afnan's quest to be acknowledged as the fastest reverse writer in the world is a noteworthy accomplishment deserving of international recognising.
