Odisha artist L. Eswar Rao crafts stunning five-inch Rath Yatra chariots with tiny Jagannath idols, blending devotion and extraordinary craftsmanship.
Barely five inches tall, intricately crafted miniature chariots are drawing admiration ahead of this year's Rath Yatra in Odisha. Created by renowned miniature artist L. Eswar Rao from Jatni near Bhubaneswar, the tiny chariots house delicately carved neem-wood idols of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra, each measuring less than an inch in height. The chariots have been meticulously handcrafted using areca nut leaves, reflecting exceptional precision and devotion. According to the artist, the project took seven days of painstaking work to complete.
