India’s NSG and US Special Operations Forces completed Exercise Tarkash VIII, a joint counter-terrorism drill held at Infosys campus in Pune’s Hinjewadi
India’s National Security Guard (NSG) and United States Special Operations Forces (US SOF) have conducted a joint counter-terrorism exercise at the Infosys campus in Pune’s Hinjewadi as part of the eighth edition of Exercise Tarkash. Held from July 13 to August 7, the bilateral drill focused on strengthening coordination, tactical skills and operational readiness between the special forces of both countries. Commandos from both sides participated in advanced training activities designed to improve responses to complex security challenges, including counter-terror operations and urban scenarios. The NSG said personnel from both forces displayed professionalism, adaptability and commitment throughout the exercise. The successful completion of Exercise Tarkash VIII highlights the growing India-US security cooperation and the shared focus on enhancing the capabilities of elite counter-terror units.
