Calangute (Goa): As the season begins, Goa's Calangute Beach is seeing a dramatic increase in tourist footfall. The shores are buzzing with families, honeymooners, groups of friends, and international visitors soaking up the sun and revelling in the lively atmosphere.

Beach shacks are drawing crowds with authentic Goan cuisine, while water sports operators are keeping adventure seekers engaged with a variety of thrilling activities.

Neeraj Sargotra, a tourist, shared his experience, saying It's a bit hot; I think after a couple of hours it will be cold, so that will be good. If you will come in the evening, that will be good. Like, right now, it's a bit humid and hot.” he said. Having just arrived in Goa, he added, “Actually, I came yesterday only. So, right now, we are in Calangute and we will be visiting Baga Beach and in the evening, we will see to some casinos and all. Tomorrow, we will see the fort and memorial…” He also relished the local seafood, saying, “I just had pomfret, and it was quite good.”

Another tourist, Mahendra Patil, said he and his family arrived the previous morning and stayed with relatives before heading to the beach. “We arrived yesterday morning and stayed at a relative’s house. Now we've come to the beach after visiting two temples; after exploring the beach, we'll head back home. While speaking about the cuisine he has relished, he said, ‘I tried fish, and fish is very famous in Goa.' We are non-vegetarians, and we love fish; it tasted great.

In addition to sunset spots, the Government of Goa is also promoting temples and cultural sites.” He also mentioned visiting the Betal Temple and the Mahalsa Devi Temple.

Meanwhile, tourist Sachin Patil described his experience in Goa as “Goa is feeling really nice; the people here are good and the climate is pleasant. I’m really enjoying it and having a great time.” he said. He also commended the management at the beach, noting, “The facilities are very good, and the security here is well managed.”

Calangute Beach is one of Goa's most well-liked vacation spots, and it continues to entice tourists with its lively energy, picturesque vistas, and mouthwatering local cuisine as the tourist season heats up.
