Daman's beaches, Namo Path and waterfront attractions are drawing millions of tourists as the coastal city undergoes rapid transformation.
From scenic beaches and waterfront promenades to vibrant night markets, Daman is transforming into one of India's most popular coastal tourism destinations. The Union Territory now attracts nearly five million visitors annually, reflecting its growing appeal among travellers.
A key attraction is the four-kilometre-long Namo Path in Nani Daman, which offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea along with modern recreational facilities and public spaces. As evening falls, the city's colourful night market comes alive, drawing crowds with its lively atmosphere and local offerings.
Residents say the tourism boom has created new opportunities for businesses and improved livelihoods. The transformation has been driven by significant investments in infrastructure and tourism development.
On June 5, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Daman to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth around ₹2,970 crore.
