Shopkeepers say there is a noticeable rise in demand for locally made products this year
New Delhi: Delhi’s bustling markets, including Sadar Bazar, are filled with colourful decorative items and lights as Diwali approaches. Shopkeepers say demand for Made in India products has surged, with customers showing strong preference for locally produced goods over imports this festive season.
Despite the festive mood and variety, shoppers complain about rising costs. Some say prices are higher than last year and GST reductions have not provided visible relief. Yet, crowds continue to throng the markets, with visitors from Delhi and nearby areas enjoying the shopping experience. Diwali will be celebrated on October 20.
