A heartwarming story of love and innovation is winning hearts from Andhra Pradesh. In Arthamuru village of East Godavari district, 65-year-old mechanic Satti Siva Narayana Reddy has built a homemade escalator inside his house to help his wife, Satyaveni, easily reach the first floor.

The escalator covers the 21 steps leading upstairs, making daily movement safer and more comfortable for the 58-year-old.

Reddy says the idea first came to him nearly two years ago. After months of planning and working on the project, he recently completed the installation.

He further added that,  escalator is not just useful for climbing stairs but also helps transport heavy household items like rice bags and groceries to the upper floor with minimal effort.
