Amit Shah accused Rahul and Tejashwi of aiding infiltrators in Seemanchal, asserting the NDA will sweep Bihar with over 160 seats.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Saturday, attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD, calling them "hell-bent" on making the Seemanchal region of Bihar a "den of infiltrators". He asserted that the Centre would “detect and identify every illegal immigrant, delete their names from electoral rolls, and deport them.”
Addressing successive election rallies in Purnea and Katihar, Shah expressed confidence that the NDA would form the next government in Bihar, claiming it would win “over 160 seats” in the 243-member Assembly. Referring to the first phase of polling held on November 6, “Half of the state has already shown the door to the Congress-RJD combine,” he said.
Taking aim at the Mahagathbandhan leadership, Shah alleged that “RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi were worried about their sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, respectively,” and declared that “no seats were vacant for them either in Bihar or Delhi.”
Targeting the RJD further, the Union Minister remarked, “I agree with Tejashwi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can’t do in ‘seven births’ what Lalu did... He can’t indulge in multiple scams.”
The Bihar Assembly elections are being held in multiple phases, with the second phase scheduled for next week and counting of votes on November 14.
