After ‘Vaazha 2’ smashed box office records, Vipin Das unveils ‘Vaazha 3’ with a bold all-female cast.

Filmmaker Vipin Das is shaking things up with the announcement of ‘Vaazha 3: Biopic of a Billion Girls’, the third instalment in the wildly successful franchise that is now pivoting to a fully female-led narrative.
After the massive response to ‘Vaazha 2’, the team is doubling down on experimentation.
This time, the spotlight shifts completely to women, signalling not just a casting change but a creative reset for the franchise.
Das said that the move stems from evolving audience tastes and the need to tell fresher, more inclusive stories.
The director confirmed that the film is currently in development, with production expected to begin in 2027. Once the script is locked, open auditions will be announced, continuing the franchise’s unique model of discovering new faces rather than relying on established stars.
New talent, new vision: A debut director steps in
While Vipin Das continues as the writer and creative force behind the project, the director’s chair will be taken over by Viswan Sreejith, who previously worked as an assistant director on ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ and earlier ‘Vaazha’ films.
This marks yet another first for the franchise, a debutant director handling a high-expectation sequel. But that’s exactly the formula that has worked so far.
Co-producer Harris Desom believes the franchise’s biggest strength lies in betting on newcomers. From actors to technicians, ‘Vaazha’ has consistently broken industry norms and still delivered blockbuster numbers.
Meanwhile, ‘Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros’ continues its dream run at the box office.
Featuring rising digital creators like Hashir H., Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy and Vinayak V, the film has reportedly grossed over ₹160 crore worldwide, a staggering feat for a newcomer-driven project.
With momentum firmly on its side, the ‘Vaazha’ franchise is now eyeing long-term expansion, and ‘Vaazha 3’ could be its boldest chapter yet.
