Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi’s ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’ is gearing up for a worldwide release on September 25. The film, which marks Aadhi’s return as director and lead actor, will also get a wide release in Kerala. Bright Screen is distributing the film in the state, with Dream Big Films serving as its distribution partner.

Produced by Sundar C and Khushbu under the banner of Avni Movies, the film also has ACS Arun Kumar as a production partner under Benz Media Private Limited. Ananditha Sundar is the executive producer.

‘Meesaya Murukku 2’ is the second installment in the franchise following the 2017 film ‘Meesaya Murukku’, which emerged as a major success. However, the upcoming film features a new story and a different set of characters. Reports indicate that it has no direct connection to the storyline of the first film.

Directed and written by Aadhi, ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’ is presented as a musical comedy-drama. The story reportedly moves across three different time periods, offering a narrative distinct from its predecessor.

The cast includes Kethika Sharma, Chaithra J Achar, Yogi Babu, Harshath Khan, Karunas, Nassar, Aadukalam Naren, Ramya Ranganathan and Sha Ra alongside Aadhi.

The film’s official trailer has already generated attention on social media. Aadhi has composed the songs as well as the background score. Tracks such as ‘Poda Padichiruken’ and ‘Goyindhamma’ have been released ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.

Balaji Subramanyam has handled the cinematography, while Fenny Oliver and Thirumalai Rajan are credited with the editing. Ashwin Ram is the creative producer, Poornima Ramaswamy is the costume designer, and V S Dinesh Kumar is the art director. Vignesh Rathiran serves as the production designer and P Balagopi as the production executive.

Baba Baskar, Santhosh and Raghu Thappa have choreographed the songs, while Action Santhosh has handled the action sequences.
