Faissal Khan claims Aamir Khan fathered a child with British journalist Jessica Hines during his marriage to Reena Dutta.

Actor Faissal Khan has reignited a long-standing controversy surrounding his brother, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, by alleging that the actor had an affair with British journalist Jessica Hines while still married to Reena Dutta — and that the relationship resulted in a child born out of wedlock.
Faissal made the explosive claim during a recent press conference in which he accused his family of pressuring him to marry and criticised Aamir for past relationships. He stated, "Aamir ka shadi hua tha, divorce ho gaya Reena ke saath… Aur fir uska relation tha Jessica Hines ke sath, jiska, unka illegal bachcha bhi hai… out of wedlock (Aamir was married to Reena and later divorced her… After that, he had a relationship with Jessica Hines, and they had a child together out of wedlock.)."
He further added, "Kiran ke sath he was living at that time (He was living with Kiran at that time)."
The Jessica Hines chapter
Jessica Hines, a British journalist and writer, has had links with the Hindi film industry, most notably when she was in India working on a biography of Amitabh Bachchan. Reports of her relationship with Aamir Khan first surfaced in 2005, when Stardust magazine alleged that the two had met during the shooting of ‘Ghulam’ in the late 1990s.
According to those reports, the pair were living together when Jessica became pregnant. The magazine claimed Aamir urged her to terminate the pregnancy, but she chose to continue and gave birth to a son in the early 2000s, whom she named Jaan.
In 2007, Jessica married London-based businessman William Talbot. In an interview with TOI, she revealed that Talbot had been “very supportive and protective” of her son Jaan, particularly when she was working in India.
Social media buzz over Jaan
Speculation about Aamir’s alleged connection to Jaan resurfaced in recent years when photos of Jessica’s son appeared on Reddit. Users highlighted the boy’s resemblance to Aamir Khan and pointed out that he had even featured in British Vogue. The discussion reignited debate over Stardust’s original claims, though Aamir has never acknowledged the child publicly.
Faissal’s ongoing rift with Aamir
Faissal Khan’s remarks about Jessica Hines and her son came during an emotional press conference where he also drew parallels between his personal life and Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal’. Praising director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, he said: "I salute Sandeep Reddy Vanga for showing today’s relationships so accurately… He has portrayed everything very well. If you haven’t seen the film yet, I suggest you watch it."
He also revealed that his family had tried to arrange a marriage for him, even suggesting he wed an aunt. When a reporter asked for clarification, Faissal responded, "Haan, meri aunty ke sath…".
The ‘Mela’ actor has previously accused his family of confining him, forcing him to take medication, and portraying him as mentally unstable — allegations the family has consistently denied. Recently, he announced via public notice that he was severing all ties with his family and their estate.
Family responds
In a rare joint statement, Aamir Khan and several family members, including Reena Datta, Kiran Rao, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Mansoor Khan, Imran Khan, and others, rejected Faissal’s accusations. They described his comments as “hurtful and misleading,” stressing that all decisions made regarding him were done collectively, under medical supervision, and with his well-being in mind.
They urged the media not to sensationalise the family’s private struggles.
