“My mother Zeenat and sister Nikhat Khan levelled false accusations against me, including that I suffered from paranoid schizophrenia,” he claimed.

Faisal Khan, actor and younger brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has announced that he is severing all ties with his family, declaring that he will neither maintain personal relations nor accept financial support from them in future.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Faisal revealed that he would no longer accept the monthly allowance given to him by Aamir. He accused his family of mistreating him for years and said his decision came after “serious thought and in the shadow of unfortunate past events.”
“No ties with family members”
Faisal stated he no longer has any connection with his late father Tahir Hussain, his mother Zeenat Tahir Hussain, or any of the family members named in his statements. He also renounced any right to inherit his parents’ property, adding that he would not take responsibility for any liabilities attached to them.
“From today, I will not live at my brother Aamir Khan’s residence, nor will I ask him for a monthly allowance or expenses. Everyone should note that this decision to cut ties with my family is the result of careful consideration and the painful experiences of the past,” Faisal said.
Allegations of forced medication and confinement
The actor further alleged that between 2005 and 2007, he was forcibly administered unnecessary medication, and during 2005–06, some family members confined him in his home against his will for their “personal interests.” In October 2007, he left the family home, after which, he claimed, his mother Zeenat and sister Nikhat Khan levelled false accusations against him, including that he suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and posed a threat to society.
According to Faisal, the court took nearly five months to hear the case, and in February 2008, delivered a final verdict in his favour, dismissing the family’s claims.
Fresh accusations of defamation
Faisal has now accused his family of attempting to discredit him again. “In August 2025, my family issued false statements through various media outlets, claiming I misrepresented facts. This has defamed me. The truth is, since 2005, my family members have been responsible for jeopardising my career and creating obstacles in my personal and professional life,” he said.
Plans legal action
Appealing to the public and the media to respect his privacy, Faisal confirmed that he intends to file a writ petition next month to pursue further legal action.
