Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, now ruling Hindi cinema, started his career with small roles. One notable early role was in the film In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, written by author and activist Arundhati Roy.
An old video from this film is currently circulating online, showing SRK in a gay character role. The film tells the story of Anand Grover/Annie (played by Arjun Raina), a student who prefers dreaming up idealistic solutions to India's issues over studying. Arundhati Roy also appeared in the film as Radha, Anand's bohemian girlfriend. The cast includes Roshan Seth, Rituraj Singh, and Manoj Bajpayee, who all played supporting roles.
