Actor Vikram has been actively participating in promotional events ahead of the release of his new film, ‘Thangalaan’. The audio launch of the film took place recently, and during the ceremony, Vikram's poignant recollection of an accident that changed his life has gone viral. He spoke about the challenging period he endured and his remarkable comeback.
Vikram recounted the incident from his college days when he was beginning to dream about a career in cinema. The leg injury happened while he was preparing to act in a college play, with his leg broken from the knee to the ankle. Doctors advised amputating the leg, but Vikram underwent 23 surgeries to save it. Despite recurring infections, he remained determined to pursue his goal of becoming a film actor, regardless of the role's size.
Vikram's relentless efforts to improve his health and seize every opportunity eventually paid off. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout his journey.
‘Thangalaan’, directed by Pa Ranjith, is a period action film set against the backdrop of the Kolar gold fields. The story revolves around events following the arrival of the British in a village for gold mining. The film, which also stars Parvathy, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Preeti Karan, and Muthukumar, is set to hit theaters on August 15 in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. ‘Thangalaan’ marks Pa Ranjith's directorial venture after ‘Natchathiram Nagargiradhu’.
