Chennai: Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan marked Valentine’s Day with an emotional note celebrating love, while also gearing up for the release of his much-awaited romantic drama 'Love Insurance Kompany' (LIK).

Taking to Instagram, the director — who is married to actress Nayanthara — shared a photograph from their children’s birthday celebration and penned a reflective message on love and gratitude.

“Open your hands … and you hold nothing, Then see inside your heart and you hold one true love, That one person who makes you feel love every second of your life, Then just be happy !! You are richer than kings, blessed by the angels, won enough in life, and kissed by the universe,” he wrote.

He concluded the post with: “Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone who believes in love beyond anything.”

‘Love Insurance Kompany’ release delayed multiple times

On the professional front, Vignesh Shivan is awaiting the release of 'Love Insurance Kompany' (LIK), a romantic entertainer that has seen several postponements.

The film was initially slated for release on September 18 last year. The makers later shifted it to October 17 to coincide with Deepavali. However, the release was deferred again after actor Pradeep Ranganathan’s film Dude was scheduled for the same festive window.

To avoid a box office clash between two Pradeep Ranganathan films, the team moved LIK to December 18. The release was subsequently pushed to February this year.

'Love Insurance Kompany' features Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. The film is produced by Nayanthara.

The supporting cast includes S J Suryah and Gouri Kishan in pivotal roles.

The project brings together a strong technical team, with cinematography by Ravivarman, music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Pradeep Ragav, and action choreography by stunt master Peter Hein.

The film has generated considerable buzz among fans, particularly as Pradeep Ranganathan continues to maintain a strong box office track record in the Tamil film industry.

With Valentine’s Day celebrations setting the tone, anticipation remains high for the romantic entertainer’s eventual theatrical release.
