Trisha Krishnan’s political future is back in the spotlight after posters appeared in Madurai welcoming her to politics

Actor Trisha Krishnan’s name has once again surfaced in discussions about a possible political career, this time following posters that appeared across Madurai and a prediction by a famous astrologer. He has suggested that the actor could enter politics after December 2026.
Madurai posters fuel political speculation
In August, posters appeared in several parts of Madurai under the name of the Madurai District Trisha Welfare Association. They welcomed the actor into politics and described Madurai as a place from which political movements could begin. The posters also referred to the association as having received recognition from the Tamil Nadu government. However, reports noted that it was unclear whether the organisation had been formed with Trisha’s knowledge or consent.
The posters attracted attention on social media, renewing speculation about whether the actor might eventually explore a career beyond films.
What did astrologer predict about Trisha?
A famous astrologer has now added to the speculation with a prediction about Trisha’s possible political future. In a social media post, he reportedly pointed to the positions of the Sun, Mars and Venus in his astrological reading, associating them with authority, courage, charisma and public influence.
He suggested that the period following the Rahu-Ketu transit in December 2026 could present a possibility for Trisha to enter politics. He also described a potential move from cinema to public life as one that could draw considerable attention.
The prediction remains an astrological forecast, not an announcement from the actor or her representatives. There is currently no confirmed date or official statement indicating that Trisha will join politics.
Trisha made her debut as a lead actor with the 2002 Tamil film ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ and went on to become a familiar face in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Her filmography includes popular titles such as ‘Saamy’, ‘Ghilli’, ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ and ‘96’. She also played Kundavai in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ films.
Trisha Krishnan was last seen in ‘Karuppu’, the Tamil action film starring Suriya, directed by RJ Balaji and released in May 2026.
On the work front, she is set to appear in the Telugu fantasy film ‘Vishwambhara’, starring Chiranjeevi, and the Malayalam thriller ‘Ram’, directed by Jeethu Joseph and featuring Mohanlal.
She is also part of an upcoming, yet-untitled Tamil psychological thriller directed by Raja Krishna Menon, known for ‘Airlift’, alongside Radikaa Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali.
