Nani’s latest outing ‘The Paradise’ hit theatres on September 24 amid considerable anticipation. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the Telugu action drama marks Raghav Juyal’s debut in Telugu cinema and also features Kayadu Lohar and Sonali Kulkarni in pivotal roles.

The film opened alongside several major releases and has received a mixed response from audiences and critics. Despite the divided reactions, ‘The Paradise’ has managed to put up a strong showing at the box office in its opening days. For those waiting to watch the film at home, details about its OTT partner have already been revealed.

When and where to watch ‘The Paradise’ on OTT?

‘The Paradise’ will premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run. The streaming platform was revealed as the film’s official OTT partner through the opening credits of the theatrical release.

However, the makers and Netflix are yet to announce an official streaming date. Going by the usual six-to-eight-week window followed by theatrical releases, ‘The Paradise’ could potentially arrive on Netflix between November 5 and November 19.

The tentative window is based only on the film’s September 24 theatrical release and the conventional OTT release timeline. The actual premiere date could be different once officially announced.

What is ‘The Paradise’ about?

Set in 1980s Secunderabad, ‘The Paradise’ revolves around the Savaari, a marginalised community living in a slum and struggling under oppressive conditions.

The community is denied basic rights, including voting and citizenship, while being controlled by the powerful landlord Shikanja Maalik, played by Mohan Babu.

His wife Sammakka, portrayed by Sonali Kulkarni, refuses to remain silent in the face of the oppression. Her determination also influences her son Jadal, played by Nani, who returns from prison and emerges as a fierce voice for his people.

Jadal eventually takes up the fight for the Savaari community and becomes a symbol of resistance. His biggest challenge comes in the form of Vikram Malik, the son of Shikanja Maalik and Jadal’s childhood rival. Played by Raghav Juyal, Vikram is determined to eliminate the community as he pursues his political ambitions.

The conflict between Jadal and Vikram forms the crux of the film, with the story pitting the struggle for freedom against power and greed.

‘The Paradise’ box office collection

‘The Paradise’ faced stiff competition at the box office, with several high-profile films arriving around the same period, including ‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest’, ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ and ‘Primetime’.

According to a post shared by Raghav Juyal on Instagram, the Nani-starrer collected Rs 150 crore worldwide within its first four days of release.
