Nani says ‘The Paradise’ is more than its intense violence, describing the Srikanth Odela directorial as a beautiful mother-son story.

Pan-Indian film ‘The Paradise’, starring Telugu superstar Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela, will have a worldwide theatrical release on September 24. Speaking to the media ahead of the film’s release, the makers said the team is working round the clock to ensure that the film reaches audiences on the announced release date. After having to postpone the release twice, the makers assured that there would be no further delay.
While many who watched the teaser may expect ‘The Paradise’ to be an extremely violent film, Nani said the movie is actually a beautiful story about the relationship between a mother and her son. He added that audiences would experience the emotion behind the violence rather than the violence itself.
‘The Paradise’ marks Nani and Srikanth Odela’s reunion after their blockbuster film ‘Dasara’. Sudhakar Cherukuri, who also produced ‘Dasara’, is producing the film under the SLV Cinemas banner.
Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri dismissed rumours surrounding the film’s release and confirmed that ‘The Paradise’ will hit theatres on September 24. He also said the team is extremely happy with the positive response to the updates released so far.
Director Srikanth Odela described ‘The Paradise’ as a revolutionary emotional film. Along with exploring the bond between a mother and son, the film also tells the story of a marginalised community. He said the story revolves around people who fought for their country only to realise that they have no place in the same country, eventually forcing them to fight back.
No trailer for ‘The Paradise’
Srikanth Odela confirmed that ‘The Paradise’ will not have a trailer. The makers believe it would be better for audiences to experience the film directly in theatres rather than reveal more through a trailer. Nani said the decision was also made considering the limited time available before the release. The film has a final runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
Nani said the entire team has been working 24/7 on the final stages of the film after locking September 24 as the release date. He added that they have made every effort to give audiences a strong adrenaline rush and thrilling theatrical experience while ensuring that Srikanth Odela’s vision reaches audiences on a grand scale.
Nani on the challenges of making the film
Nani said ‘The Paradise’ took longer than initially expected to complete. While the team managed to present everything they wanted to convey through the film accurately, he admitted that there was some lapse in time management.
He said authentically portraying Telangana as the backdrop in both ‘Dasara’ and ‘The Paradise’ was a major challenge. Shooting complicated action sequences with long dreadlocks was particularly difficult, and several members of the team, including Nani and Sampooranesh Babu, sustained injuries during the action scenes.
Nani said everyone had given their best to the film and that the hard work put in by the team would be visible on screen.
Nani on the intense teaser scene
Nani also reacted to the intense screaming scene featured in the teaser. He said the emotion behind the scene can only be fully experienced when it is watched as part of the film’s flow.
The actor described ‘The Paradise’ as the most physically and mentally exhausting film of his career. He said everyone involved had worked on the project wholeheartedly and had sincerely done everything required for the film.
Nani plays Jadal, who is being presented as the biggest mass avatar of his career. The previously released teaser generated significant attention with its intense action sequences, mass dialogues and grand visuals. It also hinted at the importance given to violence and action in the film.
Bollywood actor Raghav Juyal plays the antagonist, portraying the character Vikram Malik. His previously released glimpse video also received considerable attention.
Apart from Nani and Raghav Juyal, Sampooranesh Babu, Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni, Eshwari Rao, Raja Ravindra, Tanikella Bharani, M.S. Chowdary and Ram Jagan also play key roles in the film.
‘The Paradise’ will have a worldwide release in eight languages – Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, English and Spanish.
