Mumbai: Choreographer, filmmaker and popular YouTuber Farah Khan, who recently stepped in to host the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' segment of 'Bigg Boss 19' during Salman Khan’s absence, has sparked buzz about a sequel to her 2010 heist comedy 'Tees Maar Khan'.

Farah took to Instagram Stories to share a picture with actor Akshay Kumar from the set of 'Bigg Boss 19', where he appeared to promote his upcoming film 'Jolly LLB 3'. Posting the image, she wrote: “Tees Maar Khan 2 banalen kya?? @akshaykumar, such fun hosting together.”

Directed by Farah Khan, 'Tees Maar Khan' (2010) was a remake of the 1966 Italian classic 'After the Fox'. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, with cameo appearances by Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor. Although it received negative reviews on release, the film later gained cult status as a parody comedy, remembered particularly for the chart-topping song 'Sheila Ki Jawani' and Akshaye Khanna’s celebrated performance as superstar Aatish Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of 'Jolly LLB 3', the third instalment in the hit courtroom comedy-drama franchise directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film also stars Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao and Saurabh Shukla.

The first 'Jolly LLB' (2013) followed the story of Jagdish Tyagi, a struggling lawyer who takes on a powerful legal system to secure justice for six innocent labourers. Inspired by the 1999 Sanjeev Nanda hit-and-run case, the film also made references to the Priyadarshini Mattoo case. Its sequel, 'Jolly LLB 2' (2017), starred Akshay Kumar as Jagdishwar Mishra, who takes on a ruthless advocate while unravelling a fake encounter case.

With Farah Khan’s social media tease, speculation is now rife among fans about whether 'Tees Maar Khan 2' might actually be in the works.
