Rumours linking actress Sreeleela and cricketer Tilak Varma to a relationship have been dismissed by her mother, who has clarified that there is no truth to the ongoing speculation.

Speculation surrounding actress Sreeleela and Indian cricketer Tilak Varma has once again gained traction on social media, with users claiming the two have been in a relationship for some time.
However, the rumours have been firmly denied by Sreeleela’s mother, Dr. Swarnalatha, who said there is no factual basis to the claims. “These rumours are absolutely false and have no truth in them,” she said, dismissing reports linking her daughter to the cricketer.

She added that repeated online narratives suggesting the two have been dating for over a year are entirely untrue and based on assumptions rather than facts. “There is not even an iota of truth in reports claiming that Sreeleela and Tilak Varma have been seeing each other. It is purely a figment of imagination,” she stated.
According to her, the speculation has largely been driven by unrelated coincidences that were amplified on social media. These include instances such as both individuals being present at similar public events and viral claims involving temple visits and cricket match appearances, which were interpreted by users as personal connections.
Dr. Swarnalatha further said that such narratives are being created without verification and unfairly linking two public figures based on unrelated incidents. “Both incidents were purely coincidental and nothing more. Social media unnecessarily creates stories out of unrelated events,” she added.
Tilak Varma, who represents Hyderabad in domestic cricket and plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, and Sreeleela, a prominent actor in Telugu cinema, have both not commented publicly on the rumours.
The actress is also reported to be balancing her acting career with preparations for her NEET-PG examinations, with her family stating that her focus remains on studies and professional commitments rather than personal speculation.
