K-pop singer Wheesung, 43, was found dead at his home in Seoul on Monday. Authorities arrived at the scene after receiving a report from a family member. According to The Joongang, he suffered cardiac arrest. While the exact cause of death has not been confirmed, police suspect a possible suicide or drug overdose. No signs of foul play were found, and investigations are ongoing.

Wheesung, whose real name was Choi Whee-sung, was found unconscious in his apartment on Monday night after his mother called for help, local media reported.

His management agency, Tajoy Entertainment, confirmed his passing on Tuesday, stating, “Artist Wheesung has left us,” and expressing their deep sorrow over the loss. Tributes have been pouring in from fans and fellow artists.

A pioneer of R&B in South Korea, Wheesung made his debut in 2002 and quickly rose to prominence. He was scheduled to perform alongside fellow artist KCM this weekend in Daegu, but the concert has since been canceled.
