
Dubai: Actor Shane Nigam issued a public apology to fellow actor Unni Mukundan and his fans during a press conference held in Dubai. Shane expressed regret for his controversial remarks about Unni Mukundan Films Pvt Ltd.
Addressing the controversy, Shane Nigam clarified that his remarks were intended as a joke and were not meant to cause any harm. He also revealed that he had personally reached out to Unni Mukundan to convey his apology and clarify the misunderstanding. Moving forward, Shane assured that he would exercise greater caution in his responses to such matters.
In addition to addressing the controversy, Shane Nigam disclosed that he had lodged a complaint with the police regarding abusive messages directed towards his mother on social media. He refuted claims associating him with the so-called 'Mattancherry Gang,' stating that he was unaware of such a group and emphasizing his upbringing in Mattancherry.
Producer Sandra Thomas, who also attended the press conference, highlighted the challenges faced by independent producers in the Malayalam cinema industry. She pointed out the difficulties in sustaining independent production ventures when competing with larger production companies.
The press conference, held in conjunction with the Gulf release of the upcoming film 'Little Hearts,' was attended by actress Mahima Nambiar. 'Little Hearts' is scheduled to hit theatres on June 7.
