Mumbai: The latest data on India’s highest taxpayers among stars reveals Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the top payer, followed by Tamil actor Vijay and Salman Khan. From the Malayalam film industry, Mohanlal also features prominently on the list.
Shah Rukh Khan leads with a massive tax payment of Rs 92 crore for the financial year. Tamil star Vijay comes in second, having paid Rs 80 crore. Salman Khan, who paid Rs 75 crore, is in third place, while Amitabh Bachchan is fourth with Rs 71 crore in taxes. Cricketer Virat Kohli rounds out the top five, having contributed Rs 66 crore.

Among other notable figures, cricketers MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have also made the top ten. Dhoni paid Rs 38 crore, while Sachin gave Rs 28 crore. Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, with Rs 23 crore, and Hardik Pandya, with Rs 13 crore, are included in the top 20.
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn paid Rs 42 crore, and Ranbir Kapoor gave Rs 36 crore.
