Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan candidly spoke about his ongoing health issues during his appearance on the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, marking his return as the first guest of the season. While fans were quick to praise his fit and energetic appearance, the actor revealed that he continues to battle a range of serious medical conditions, all while keeping up with his demanding film career.

In a casual yet revealing conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Salman listed several health challenges he is currently facing. “I’m out here breaking bones every day. My ribs are fractured, I’m working with trigeminal neuralgia, there’s a brain aneurysm, and an AV malformation, yet I’m still going on,” he said.

When asked why he hasn’t gotten married yet, the actor responded with a smile: “If their (partner's) mood turns, they will take half of everything with them. If this had happened when I was younger, it would’ve been okay; I could’ve earned it all back. But now, starting over again...” he said, shaking his head with laughter.

Salman Khan has previously spoken about his battle with trigeminal neuralgia, a painful facial nerve disorder often referred to as the “suicide disease” due to the suicidal tendencies it can induce in sufferers. He first discussed the condition publicly at a press event in Dubai during the promotion of Tubelight in 2017.

What are the conditions Salman Khan is battling?

Trigeminal Neuralgia: A chronic nerve disorder that causes sudden, intense facial pain, often compared to electric shocks. It affects the trigeminal nerve, which is responsible for facial sensation. Even routine actions like chewing, brushing teeth, or a gust of wind can trigger severe pain.

Brain Aneurysm: A brain aneurysm is a bulging, weakened area in the wall of a blood vessel in the brain. It often remains symptomless until it ruptures, which can lead to a hemorrhagic stroke, a potentially life-threatening condition.

AV Malformation (Arteriovenous Malformation): An AVM is an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, most commonly found in the brain or spinal cord. If it ruptures, it can cause seizures, headaches, neurological issues, or life-threatening bleeding.
