New Delhi: Mumbai Police have detained three individuals working in Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's household for questioning following an attack on the actor at his residence on Thursday. The three suspects were taken to the police station for interrogation as the investigation continues.

The incident occurred early in the morning, around 4:00 am, when an intruder allegedly sneaked into Saif Ali Khan's house. According to police, the actor was sleeping with his family when the intruder barged in. A scuffle ensued between the actor and the intruder, who reportedly stabbed Saif Ali Khan six times before fleeing the scene.

Saif Ali Khan is currently receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. His condition is stable, and he is undergoing surgery following the attack.

Actor's team confirms attempted burglary

Khan’s team released an official statement confirming that there was an attempted burglary at the actor's residence. "There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” the statement read.

A source close to Saif Ali Khan revealed that the actor fought bravely to protect his family. The intruder, armed with a weapon, attempted to rob the house, but Saif reportedly confronted him unarmed, attempting to prevent harm to his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh. While Saif was injured in the struggle, his family was unharmed.

Police review CCTV footage

The police have launched a full investigation into the incident, with CCTV footage from the area being reviewed. The DCP of Bandra division confirmed that the intruder was still unidentified but noted that an FIR has been filed at the Bandra Police Station.

Reports indicate that Saif Ali Khan’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children are safe and unharmed. The actor's most recent film appearance was in 'Devara: Part 1', where he starred alongside Janhvi Kapoor and NTR Jr.
