Ritika clarified that she has only one official social media account, which is her verified Instagram profile. She said that everything posted on the account is shared by her personally. However, she recently came across a Facebook page using her name and charging people for a monthly subscription.

Pointing out that the page is not verified and has even spelt her name incorrectly, the actor urged people who had subscribed to it to be more careful with their money.

“I am sharing this video to make it clear that the profile you are currently seeing is my only official account. This is my only verified account with a blue tick. Everything posted here is shared by me. However, I recently came across another page on Facebook that has been created in my name. They are running it on a subscription model, charging Rs 400 a month. People are actually paying for it. The page is not verified, and they have not even spelt my name correctly. Those who are paying for it should be a little more careful with their money,” she said.

The actor added that the situation has now reached a point where it is affecting her identity and reputation.

“I initially did not pay much attention to it. I thought it would eventually stop, but that did not happen. Things have now reached a point where my identity is being misused in a way that is insulting. There are also several AI videos being circulated that look like me and appear to be real. It is upsetting to have to come forward and clarify things when I have done nothing wrong. I genuinely do not understand how this is happening.”

“I cannot understand how unverified fake pages, which do not even have proper identification documents, are allowed to run subscription models and make money using our names. The situation with AI technology is frightening, almost beyond belief. Videos are now being created in ways that can damage a person's image. If my family members or friends come across them, they may not even be able to recognise that it is not me,” Ritika said.

She explained that she decided to speak out to prevent further confusion and make people aware of the issue. The actor also said she had deliberately refrained from sharing the link to the Facebook page, as she did not want to give it more publicity.

Ritika urged people not to trust or subscribe to such accounts if they came across them. She also requested their help in reporting the fake page so that it could be taken down.

A former professional kickboxer, Ritika made her acting debut with Sudha Kongara's ‘Irudhi Suttru’. Her performance in the film earned her a Special Mention at the National Film Awards as well as a Filmfare Award.

She later made her Malayalam screen appearance in a song sequence in Dulquer Salmaan's ‘King of Kotha’.

Ritika will next be seen in ‘Operation Thraal’, which stars Jayasurya in the lead role.
