Mumbai: Ever since reports surfaced about actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda getting engaged, fans have been speculating nonstop about wedding dates, venues, and bachelor or bachelorette parties.

The latest stir on social media comes from a series of photos showing the actors in wedding attire, posing with Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar, garlands in place and smiles all around.

At first glance, the images seemed to confirm that the beloved Telugu stars might have secretly tied the knot. However, the truth is far from it: the photos were AI-generated, shared by Instagram user Gunti Srikala Nagaraju, and not from any real ceremony. The images featured floral backdrops and even “Vijay & Rashmika” written, fueling the speculation.

Despite the AI-generated nature of the photos, the frenzy hasn’t died down. Rashmika, who recently turned 29 (born April 5, 1996), was spotted taking a break from her busy schedule with a quick getaway to Sri Lanka alongside her girlfriends. Fans quickly speculated whether the trip was a bachelorette vacation, although the actress framed it as just a casual holiday with friends. Vijay, 36, making for a seven-year age gap, has remained largely silent, adding to the online chatter.

Rashmika and Vijay first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam (2018), where sparks reportedly flew, and their off-screen chemistry has been a talking point ever since. Their engagement is said to have taken place in October at Vijay’s residence in Hyderabad, in a private ceremony with close friends and family.
