Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is reportedly being considered for a special screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on November 5, the day of its worldwide theatrical release.

According to a report by Mid-Day, the makers are seeking the necessary permissions for the proposed screening, which is yet to receive official confirmation. If the plan goes ahead, the event is expected to be attended by political leaders and dignitaries.

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, and Yash, who takes on the role of Ravana, are reportedly expected to attend the screening alongside director Nitesh Tiwari.

The report also suggests that the makers are planning two premieres for the film. While one is expected to take place in Mumbai, another is being planned in Delhi for dignitaries.

Meanwhile, the team has been building anticipation for the film with fresh promotional material. A recently released video offers a glimpse of the title and the epic’s action sequences, with the makers describing it as an immersive 3D cinematic experience.

“A legend unlike any you’ve ever seen. RAMAYANA: RISE OF A LEGEND - the most immersive 3D cinematic experience ever - exclusively in theatres, IMAX and Premium Large Formats worldwide November 5,” read the caption accompanying the promotional video.

The makers have also unveiled a new character poster featuring Jatayu, the revered bird from the Ramayana, voiced by actor Anupam Kher. The poster was shared with the caption: “When evil took flight, courage rose to meet it. He fought not for victory, but for what was right. Jatayu. The Wings of Dharma. Anupam Kher as Jatayu in Ramayana.”

Jatayu plays a significant role in the epic when he attempts to rescue Sita after Ravana abducts her. Despite knowing the danger, the courageous bird confronts Ravana, making a desperate attempt to stop him and protect Sita.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

Planned as a two-part cinematic epic, the film’s first instalment is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, while the second part is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027. The film is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
