Kochi: PVR has announced the resumption of Malayalam movie screenings across its theaters, marking the resolution of a recent content-sharing dispute. The decision, effective Saturday, follows the intervention of M A Yusuff Ali, Chairman of Lulu Group.

The conflict arose over producers' insistence on the use of digital content in newly established cinemas which sparked controversy at the theaters recently inaugurated in Forum Mall.

On Saturday, film organizations, led by FEFKA, took a firm stance, declaring they would withhold film releases from PVR until equitable compensation was provided for perceived losses. It was in response to this deadlock that Yusuff Ali stepped in to mediate the dispute.
