Saiju Kurup, Yogi Babu and Baby Eva headline ‘Harivarasanam’, a Rajesh Nair-directed Malayalam devotional thriller produced by Panorama Studios and Ajith Vinayaka Films. Set against the backdrop of Sabarimala, the film explores faith, reason and a father's quest to regain his daughter's trust.

Panorama Studios has joined hands with Ajith Vinayaka Films for ‘Harivarasanam’, an upcoming Malayalam devotional thriller starring Saiju Kurup, Yogi Babu and Baby Eva. Directed by Rajesh Nair, the film explores the complex relationship between faith and reason through an emotionally charged story of fatherhood, belief and redemption.
Produced by Ajith Vinayaka, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, the film is written by Ampadhy K. Set against the spiritual backdrop of Sabarimala, ‘Harivarasanam’ follows a father on a journey to regain his daughter's trust. As he confronts his convictions and the realities of life, the journey challenges his understanding of faith and forces him to look inward.
Saiju Kurup plays the lead role, with Yogi Babu, Baby Eva, Sithara Vijayan and Sampath Raj in key roles. The supporting cast includes Joy Mathew, Maniyanpilla Raju, Shyamaprasad, Madhupal, T. G. Ravi and Abhiram. The film's music is composed by Ranjin Raj.
Speaking about the project, director Rajesh Nair said the film brings together two contrasting perspectives, faith and rationality, through the relationship between a father and his daughter. He added that the Sabarimala setting gives the narrative a distinct emotional and spiritual dimension, while the thriller elements keep the story engaging.
Kumar Mangat Pathak, chairman of Panorama Studios, said the devotional thriller genre offers an opportunity to combine faith, suspense and human emotions. He noted that the father-daughter relationship at the heart of ‘Harivarasanam’ gives the story a universal appeal.

Abhishek Pathak, managing director of Panorama Studios, said the film's central conflict and its exploration of how experiences can reshape a person's beliefs drew the studio to the project. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Ajith Vinayaka and Rajesh Nair.
Ajith Vinayaka, founder of Ajith Vinayaka Films, said the film is rooted in faith but addresses a universal theme: how certain experiences can change one's perspective on life. He added that the team hopes to strike a balance between the film's emotional core and the suspense of a devotional thriller.
Rajesh Nair, whose directorial credits include ‘Escape from Uganda’, ‘Salt Mango Tree’, ‘Thrissur Pooram’ and ‘Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur’, has worked across genres, including thrillers, family dramas and commercial entertainers.
Panorama Studios is known for films such as ‘Omkara’, ‘Special 26’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Raid’ and ‘Shaitaan’, as well as the ‘Drishyam’ franchise. The studio has also been expanding its presence in Malayalam cinema through projects including ‘Anomie’, ‘Tiki Taka’ and ‘Unmadham’.
Further details about ‘Harivarasanam’, including its release plans, are expected to be announced soon.
