Amid controversies surrounding Pushpa 2, the song "Dammunte Pattukora" from the film was removed from YouTube and social media platforms.
The move came after the lyrics of the song sparked controversy. Released by T-Series on December 24, 2024, the song was composed by Devi Sri Prasad and sung by Allu Arjun. The song is set against the backdrop of an intense confrontation between Pushpa (Allu Arjun) and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil).
The tragic incident took place at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on the release day of Pushpa 2 when 36-year-old Revathi was caught in the chaos and passed away. The incident caused a major uproar. Police later arrested Allu Arjun, but he was granted bail.
Following this, allegations arose that the song's lyrics mocked the police, which led to the decision to withdraw the track.
Revathi’s 9-year-old son, who was seriously injured in the stampede, is currently undergoing treatment. In response, Allu Arjun and the film’s producers promised compensation to the deceased woman’s family, while director Sukumar announced a Rs 50 lakh contribution.
