South Indian star Priyanka Mohan has been appointed as an Honorary Ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organisation, strengthening cultural ties between India and South Korea.

The actor shared the news on social media alongside photographs from the ceremony. Expressing her delight, she wrote: “Beyond grateful for this incredible honour. Being appointed as the Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism is truly very special to me. I’m sincerely thankful to the Korean government and the Korea Tourism Organization for recognising me as someone who can help bring Korean culture closer to Indian audiences. Korea’s culture, traditions, and warmth have always inspired me, and I’m very happy to be part of this beautiful journey. A heartfelt thank you to the President of the Korea Tourism Organization for the trust, kindness, and warm welcome. Looking forward to everything ahead.”

 

This diplomatic honour follows her recent invitation to a state dinner at New Delhi's Rashtrapati Bhavan, hosted for South Korean President Lee Jae Myung. Priyanka Mohan’s affinity with the East Asian nation blossomed after her performance in Ra Karthik’s Netflix film Made in Korea, which debuted on 12 March.
