After weeks of speculation, Hansika Motwani addresses her divorce and makes it clear she has no regrets

A month after officially parting ways with Sohael Khaturiya, actor Hansika Motwani has finally addressed the phase in her life, choosing to reflect on it with clarity rather than controversy. The couple’s divorce was granted by mutual consent on March 11 by a family court in Mumbai’s Bandra.
In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Hansika spoke candidly about the public attention surrounding her separation. She remarked, “People wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines; they got them. I have never clarified it, nor will I, because it doesn’t matter to me. It’s fine. I have no regrets. It’s better to get off the train if you got onto the wrong train than suffer.”
The actor shared that she stands by her decision and feels emotionally stronger now. According to her, she is in a much better space and remains content with how she handled the situation.
Speaking about her support system, Hansika revealed that her family played a crucial role during what she described as one of the most challenging phases of her life. She said her mother and brother supported her unconditionally and encouraged her to prioritise her comfort and well-being.
She also noted that her family had witnessed her going through an unusually difficult period, something that stood out given her typically cheerful personality.
Reinforcing her stance on maintaining privacy, Hansika stated that the details behind the separation are known only to her and Sohael. She believes certain matters are best kept between those directly involved and prefers not to disclose more.
Following the divorce, she took some time away and travelled to Japan with her mother and brother.
A high-profile wedding in 2022
Hansika and Sohael Khaturiya were married in December 2022 in a grand ceremony held at Mundota Fort and Palace. Their wedding gained widespread attention and was later documented in the 2023 Disney+ Hotstar show titled Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama.
