Director Christo Tomy's 'Ullozhukku', featuring Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu in lead roles, premiered in theatres on June 21. The story revolves around Leelamma, portrayed by Urvashi, and her daughter-in-law Anju, played by Parvathy. It delves into their struggle to bury a loved one in the flood-hit Kuttanad while long-buried secrets and lies threaten their unity. 

Amidst glowing reviews, Parvathy Thiruvothu took to Instagram to express her heartfelt thanks to the audience for their warm reception.

Christo Tomy's screenplay for 'Ullozhukku' clinched the top prize of Rs 25 lakhs at the prestigious 2018 'Cineistan India' screenplay competition. Notably, the runner-up award in the same competition was claimed by Biplav Goswami for his screenplay ‘Laapataa Ladies’, a film that garnered widespread critical acclaim upon its recent release. 

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP & MacGuffin Pictures, 'Ullozhukku'  promises to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline and stellar performances. Sanjeev Kumar Nair of Reverie Entertainment serves as co-producer, while Shehnad Jalal handles cinematography for this film.
