New Delhi: The death of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar Ali has been confirmed, with authorities indicating that she may have passed away nearly two weeks ago. Her body was discovered in a state of advanced decomposition in her apartment located in Karachi’s Ittehad Commercial area.

The late actress, aged between 30 and 35, was best known for her appearances on the Pakistani reality show ‘Tamasha Ghar’—a format similar to ‘Bigg Boss’ or ‘Big Brother’—and for her role in the film ‘Jalaibee’.

According to Pakistani media reports, police officials, including DIG Syed Asad Raza, stated that the door to her flat had to be forcibly opened. Once inside, officers found Humaira's body, which showed clear signs of decomposition. Police believe the actress may have died approximately two weeks earlier, though her neighbours reportedly did not notice anything unusual during that time.

Humaira had been living alone in the same apartment for the past seven years. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but authorities are currently treating it as a natural death. A forensic team was deployed to collect evidence from the scene, and the body was sent for autopsy.

The post-mortem examination was conducted under the supervision of Dr Summaiya at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Speaking to the media, the doctor said the body was “almost in the advanced stage of decomposition,” suggesting that death occurred several days before discovery.

The police have urged the public to refrain from speculation, stressing that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be shared once available.
