A 30-year-old movie artist from Telangana’s Adilabad district was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a room in Hyderabad’s Madhuranagar on Wednesday, with police investigating a possible altercation during a gathering with friends earlier this week.

The deceased, identified as U Swamy, hailed from Nipani village in Bhimpur mandal of Adilabad district.

According to preliminary reports, Swamy had reportedly attended a party with his friends at the room on Sunday. Investigators suspect a confrontation may have occurred during the gathering, though the circumstances remain unclear.

The case came to light after a foul smell reportedly began emanating from the room, prompting the police to intervene. On reaching the location, officers discovered Swamy’s body.

The discovery has raised questions about what transpired between Sunday’s gathering and the recovery of the body on Wednesday. However, there is no confirmed information yet establishing whether the suspected altercation was directly connected to his death.

Madhuranagar police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the sequence of events leading to the death.

The probe is expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the gathering, including the possibility of a dispute among those present.

Further details about the cause of death, the post-mortem findings and any action against people suspected of involvement have not been confirmed in the information currently available.

Police are investigating the case, and the exact circumstances of Swamy’s death remain unclear.
