
Veteran actor and one of the greatest thespians of Malayalam film industry, Nedumudi Venu passed away in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 73. The actor had been admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram and was suffering from liver related ailments.
Several politicians have expressed their condolences over the actor's demise.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed condolences through a Facebbok post stating that Nedumudi Venu was a great actor and that he always added an emotional trademark to the movies in which he acted.
V D Satheesan, the Opposition leader expressed his deepest condolences through a heart-touching Facebook post. He praised the five decades worth acting career of the actor.
K N Balagopal, Minister for Finance paid tribute to the actor through a Facebook post.
Saji Cherian, Minister for Culture paid tribute to the actor.
K. K. Shailaja, former Health Minister of Kerala, said through a Facebook post that he was beloved to Malayalis even outside movies through his innocent character.
Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala tweeted that he is shocked and saddened by the demise of icon of Malayalam film industry Shri Nedumudi Venu.
BJP leader K Surendran stated in a tweet that he is anguished by the sudden demise of the legendary Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu and that it was a great loss for the film field.
